Feedback from pupils and parents..

These are just a few of the messages that we received following the Summer Examinations:

I wanted to share some good news and a big thank you to all the fantastic teachers at OHS who have supported X during his treatment. In addition to the teaching he received by his OHS teachers, he was also very grateful to be able to continue to attend his lessons at school via a telepresence robot provided by OHS.  I’m really pleased to let you know that X received his GCSE grades this week and was awarded 9 GCSEs all at Grade 9. It’s an amazing achievement, especially as he has been studying through cancer treatment, multiple surgeries and Covid lockdowns. X is now planning to study A Levels and, inspired by the many doctors and medical professionals who have treated him over the past 3.5 years, he hopes to study medicine in the future.

Just a quick note to let you know that X is now in sixth form attending full time and studying Psychology, Philosophy and Biology – she did really well in her GCSEs and, importantly, she was also content with the results! Thanks for all your help with her education during her darkest days.

I hope that you are all well. I just wanted to give a little update now that I have finished school and received by A-Level results today! Extended Project: A, English Literature: A*, Fine Art: A, History: A*. I’m so chuffed. I’ve been so excited all break to know what I got and to finally have them and know that the hard work paid off is such a great feeling. I’ve been accepted into University to study History.  I miss you all so much! I look back on all of our lessons with such fondness. I want to thank you all so much for everything that you did and all the time that you spent to help me achieve my GCSE results. Without your lessons I wouldn’t have felt confident in any of my subjects and you have all helped me to not only achieve my results at GCSE, but also at A-Levels. You’re all absolute stars.

Please could you pass on a message to the teachers to say that X is very pleased with his GCSE results. He got 7s in Maths, English Lit and Business and 8 with Distinction on the Spoken Language Assessment in English Language and 8 ,8 in Science. Thank you to you all!
