Welcome to the Toky-home Olympics, a series of short “how to” videos of sports and games that have been popular in the OHS PE curriculum. These have been adapted for home play using equipment commonly found at home. We’ll also include a couple of other well-being activities linked to the five ways to well-being and LORIC – such as a photography challenge. The videos have been arranged into “triathlons” of activities as part of a Toky-home Olympics six week curriculum. Videos are accompanied by resources and score sheets where necessary also. Each videos starts with a presentation of the activity by HLTA Helen (with the help of her 4 year old son in some of them!) along with demo’s of the games in practice .
They have been designed and created with the medical needs of OHS students in mind, to provide a range of inclusive physical activity options whilst they are learning at home, but we’ve made them publicly available here so anyone of any age and ability can have a go if they wish.
We will be launching a triathlon at midday each Monday up to the May half term, you will find these listed below. There is also a video that provides students with some suggestions on how you might adapt other popular online physical activity offers. We hope you enjoy the games!
