KS3/4 Teacher

We are looking for a highly committed, positive and skilled KS3/4 teacher to join and enhance our dedicated team of staff. The successful candidate will have experience of working with children with additional needs and have outstanding communication skills. Flexibility and a willingness to work with children across age ranges are essential. The ability to teach at least one core subject (English, maths or science) is essential and the ability to teach additional subjects is highly desirable.

It is anticipated this post will mainly be based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (NOC) where we teach mostly KS3/4 pupils who are attending a 2 week chronic pain programme. However all our staff can be redeployed to any of our locations according to teaching needs.

English Teacher (0.6 FTE, Temporary)

We are looking for a highly committed, positive and skilled English teacher to join and enhance our dedicated team of staff. The successful candidate will have experience of working with children with additional needs and have outstanding communication skills. Flexibility and a willingness to work with children across age ranges are essential. The ability to teach another subject to GCSE level is highly desirable.

It is anticipated this post will mainly be based at the Oxford Children’s Hospital where we teach pupils from Foundation to Key Stage 5 who are in-patients in hospital.  However all our staff can be redeployed to any of our locations according to teaching needs. 

The job is available initially from September to the end of December 2021 because of staff reorganisation, but there may be opportunities to extend.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are seeking an enthusiastic person who is flexible, organised and is passionate about supporting the teaching and learning for young people who have medical or mental health needs. You will be required to oversee the support for a young person through a key tutor role and communicate with parents and enrolled schools about this, assist in the delivery of an appropriate curriculum within a hospital school setting and support planning for re-integration.
